gallery UG Tennoz is pleased to present a new solo exhibition by Saori HASEGAWA, titled “Murmur of memories,” on view from Friday, May 8 through Saturday, May 23, 2026.

Saori HASEGAWA has been working consistently on the theme of “Lost Landscapes”.
In 2022, she participated in the "Blue Period" exhibition at the Terada Warehouse, followed by her participation in the group exhibition "Visualization" at galley UG Tennoz in 2023 and her solo exhibition "Botanical garden" at Bakurocho. In the past years, she has been exhibiting at numerous art fairs, expanding her activities beyond the borders of Japan.

「人間にできないこと
それは意識が“今ここ”にない状態で目の前の風景を見ること（意識を向けること）

見ることのできない風景＝迷子の風景

私たちがさまよってはじめて“迷子の風景”は立ち現れる
しかし、その風景を私たちは見ることができない
できるのは「見ることができない風景が存在していたであろうことに気づく」ただそれだけ。現前の風景を認識する際のわずかな隙間、その一瞬に気づきはある。そんな存在を私たちは見過ごして生きている。

現在に生きている限り“今”という時は私たちにまとわりついて離れない。あまりに近くて上手く見ることができない。そんな迷子に必要なのは“今ここ”ではない“別の場所”で迷子になること。

展示している絵画は迷子の風景を表現しているわけではない。だって“迷子の風景”は人が見ることのできない風景なのだから。“別の場所”でのさまよいを生成する装置であり“迷子の風景”に気づくきっかけ。
ここにあるのはきっとそいう存在。」
