We are pleased to announce that gallery UG Osaka Umeda will host a solo exhibition by our exclusive artist, Kazuko Neishi, from Wednesday, January 22, 2025, to Tuesday, February 25, 2025.
Kazuko NEISHI (1944–2018) was an accomplished artist and a dedicated member of the Shinseiki Art Association during her lifetime.
Each year, she created impressive large-scale works exceeding 100 canvas sizes. From 2001, she collaborated exclusively with gallery UG, where she actively exhibited her works in Japan and abroad.
Now, seven years after her passing, this exhibition highlights the artworks she created during her years with gallery UG.
Deeply fond of children, Neishi opened an art class in her home and spent her days surrounded by their energy and laughter.
Her works reflect these everyday moments, featuring children depicted in unique and whimsical forms.
NEISHI once shared that this is how they appeared—or how she felt they appeared—to her, capturing their playful innocence through her distinct artistic lens.
It seems she painted not just to create art, but as a way of keeping a diary of her daily life.
Living in an environment filled with the things she loved, NEISHI enjoyed peaceful, joyful, and fulfilling days.
Her works exude a warmth that reflects this contentment.
Through her art, we hope viewers can feel a sense of calm and cherish the beauty of everyday life.
We warmly invite you to visit and experience this heartfelt exhibition.
