Taichung International Convention and Exhibition Center (TICEC), Taiwan
At the first booth fair of ART TAICHUNG, gallery UG is pleased to present three artists: Junko ASANO, Nobuko NUMANO and Kunihiko NOHARA.
The theme is “Chillax.” “Chillax” is a combination of the words “chill out” and “relax,” meaning to calmly and quietly relax and unwind.
Junko ASANO paints stories of animals that bring smiles, with feelings of nostalgia.
Nobuko NUMANO paints colorful artworks inspired by plants and flowers from everyday life.
Kunihiko NOHARA expresses a sense of comfort as if you were floating through his sculptures.
In the midst of today’s busy world, we hope that visitors will find a moment to truly “chillax” through their artwork.

We are pleased to announce that the exhibition “To the Light Beyond” a solo exhibition by MIU will be held at gallery UG Fukuoka from June 3 (Wed) to June 16 (Tue), 2026.
This exhibition by MIU (Toshio Miura), who made his artistic debut at the age of 67, explores the themes of “Boundary” and “Light,” quietly reflecting on life, death, and the longing for the Pure Land.
Through abstract and sensory-driven expressions, the works invite each viewer into a personal dialogue, encouraging individual interpretation and emotional reflection.
In addition, proceeds from the exhibition will be donated to support people with visual impairments, transforming the act of purchasing artwork itself into a form of contribution and circulation of care.
This exhibition presents a new possibility for artistic expression where art and social engagement intersect.

"Connecting artworks to people, connecting people to each other through art."
galleryUG are always there for our artists.
We will grow together with the artists and support them from production to promotion.
We aim to further enrich and expand the contemporary art scene by proposing the ideal way for galleries to be.
I express visions inspired by ordinary daily life, where animals happily coexist and warm feelings of nostalgia prevail. I hope viewers will cherish their imagination, which is often overlooked in today's fast-paced world, and the time they spend relaxing. Through my work, I encourage them to freely imagine the stories that lie beyond the artwork.
In moments when I feel like I’m in a place independent of my surroundings,
I sometimes feel like I’m in a different time and space.
The feeling is like clouds or smoke that change shape with no regard for time
that people have to live by, and it also feels like a space of my own.
To turn, various scenes that came up in my imagination from things I encountered.
To express freedom, time and desires that are on the verge of being discarded from memory.
That is what is important, in order for me to be me and for a person to be them self.
